The company's history

WE BRING THE GENERATIONS TOGETHER THROUGH THE VALUES AND TRADITIONS BY WHICH WE LIVE

1970

Hermann Bosshard founded the Bosshard Radio & TV Expert business in Embrach, Switzerland.

1996

Rolf Bosshard took over the already-famous business from his father and led it into the second generation.

The company concentrated on strong brands, such as BANG & OLUFSEN and Panasonic.

2002

Rolf Bosshard expanded by taking over a showroom previously run purely for BANG & OLUFSEN products in the Glatt shopping centre, close to Zurich.

2006

The BANG & OLUFSEN showrooms at Hegibachplatz in Zurich were subsequently taken over on November 15. This site had a long history already - after all, this was BANG & OLUFSEN's very first showroom in Switzerland.

On 1st December, Rolf Bosshard converted the business into an "Aktiengesellschaft" (a public limited company). From then on, the name became "Bosshard HomeLink AG".

2009

The management of the busy Glatt centre embarked upon reconstruction work and a re-organisation of the catering concept on the top floor, which forced Rolf Bosshard to stop operating the company's outlet there.

On 6th June, Bosshard was offered the opportunity to compensate for the closure of the Glatt centre by taking over the prestigious TV Reding BANG & OLUFSEN  showrooms in Zurich Höngg. As part of the succession plan agreed with Bosshard, Hans Reding concluded a contract to hand over the activities of the business step by step.

2013

When Hans Reding retired completely from the the business on the grounds of age, he also handed over the showroom in the neighbouring premises at Limmattalstrasse 124  to Rolf Bosshard. Bosshard decided to carry out major reconstruction work at these premises, and then open an Expert Bosshard Höngg Shop containing a BeoPlay Corner.
